The team at My Two Cents has expanded; We are now a crew of 11! It's also very exciting that the entire team are all women, which is fantastic to see in a male dominated field.
We thought this would be a great time to include some fun -get to know the team- interviews, and of course, what is any team without their leader! So with that, if you have not already met the vivacious Haley Reyners, she is the great mind My Two Cents sprang from.
What do you do at My Two Cents?
I'm the owner at MTC - my role changes everyday! I spend my time training the team, working with clients, dealing with complex tax and compliance issues, having meetings, working with software providers and everything else in between.
How long have you been with MTC?
I started the business as a one woman band 8 years ago.
What do you love about being an all female team?
The accounting industry has historically been a male dominated industry - to be an all female accounting and bookkeeping team is something special! I feel that women bring a level of care to the role and that goes a long way when dealing with clients that are quite often highly stressed.
If you weren't doing your current job, what would you like to do?
Have a hot/shade house full of amazing plants and spend my day propagating, watering, growing and admiring them.
Have you learned anything interesting through your work at My Two Cents?
No day is the same, no day is dull, and most days don't go as planned.
What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
Chocolate, a nice cold alcoholic beverage or a sleep in!
What's your current Netflix recommendation?
So many, but the last series I watched and really enjoyed was Firefly Lane.
