Elizabeth joined the My Two Cents team in early 2023. Based in Mangawhai with her spoiled rotten Cavoodle, Chester, she has been working as a self-employed bookkeeper for the last 18 years. What do you do at My Two Cents?
Bookkeeper. I was drawn to bookkeeping because I am good at organising, and enjoy making everything flow smoothly and efficiently. There is a lot of satisfaction in taking something that stresses a lot of small business owners, and making it easy and stress-free.
How long have you been with My Two Cents?
I joined My Two Cents in April 2023
What do you love about being an all female team?
I love the sense of friendship and the laughter, and it is an extremely supportive environment to work
If you weren't doing your current job, what would you like to do?
Work with dogs, anything to do with dogs gives me joy.
When I am not working I enjoy getting out and walking with my dog, especially at the beach and with friends. If a flat white is included, then life is good.
Have you learned anything interesting through your work at My Two Cents?
Yes, the environment is really open and sharing, so I continually pick up ways of doing things differently. It is great to be able to discuss anything that you are unsure of, and I have learnt a lot about dealing with the IRD that I hadn't experienced before.
What's your favourite guilty pleasure?
Stones Ginger Wine, and fish and chips on the beach - not necessarily together!
What's your current Netflix recommendation?
Not a Netflix follower - mainly because I'd never get anything done if I gave in to the temptation.
